Sip & Sew is a feel-good sewing session designed for private groups who want to do something a little different together. It’s hands-on, social, and welcoming, with plenty of laughs, a bit of learning, and the satisfaction of making something yourself.
No previous sewing experience needed and no pressure to be perfect. Just a fun, creative way to spend time together in our friendly studio.
Sip & Sew sessions are available by enquiry only. We don’t run these regularly; we open them when there’s demand, so each group gets a relaxed, well-looked-after experience.

This is sewing made easy! Every project we offer in this series is perfect for beginners. We’ve done the hard work for you; all the pattern pieces are pre-cut so you can get straight to the fun part - sewing!

Your Sip & Sew experience includes:
Exclusive use of the Sensational Sewing studio
Your choice of sewing projects: tote bags, cushion covers, or a combination
All sewing machines, tools, pre-cut fabric and equipment
Friendly, supportive teaching throughout
A finished handmade item crafted by each guest to take home
Drinks and nibbles can be BYO, and you’re welcome to make use of our studio kitchen, including the complimentary tea and coffee.

Sip & Sew experiences start at $75 per person, with a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 12 participants.
Because each Sip & Sew is planned just for your group, we’ll confirm all details once we receive your enquiry.

Our Sip & Sew experiences are about having a go, learning something new, and enjoying the process, not chasing perfection. Guests often leave surprised by what they’ve made and feeling more confident than they expected. Many come back later for classes, private lessons, or gift vouchers to keep the sewing journey going. We’d love to welcome your group into our crafting home.

Home sweet home
Our cosy sewing studio is your creative home, equipped with sewing machines, cutting tables, and all the tools necessary to bring your creations to life. Our studio kitchen is available to you to use; we have glassware and cutlery as well as complimentary tea and coffee for you to use. For BYO nibbles, we have a few platters you can borrow to set up your nibbles at the studio. Alternatively, feel free to bring along your snacks pre-plated. We can also recommend some great local businesses to create grazing boxes for you to bring along.
