An update on alterations appointment bookings
We’re making some changes to our alterations appointments here at Sensational Sewing. As you know, we put a lot of care and skill into every single stitch that goes into your garments, especially when it comes to those special pieces like school formal and bridal gowns.
To make sure we’re giving each of you the time and attention your garments deserve, we’re making a small change to how we handle certain fitting appointments.
From now on, we’ll be charging for initial consultation fittings at the time of booking for the following:
School Formal Alterations $30
Bridal Alterations $95
Group Appointments (like wedding parties) $150
This fee covers your initial consultation, expert fitting advice, and a personalised quote based on what’s needed. It ensures we can dedicate our time to you and schedule our sewing magic properly.
We completely understand that sometimes plans change, so if you book a school formal fitting and decide not to go ahead with the alterations, we’ll provide a refund for the booking fee for the fitting appointment.
For bridal and group appointments, due to the longer prep and planning time involved, the booking fee is non-refundable.
General fittings for everyday alterations are still free of charge; this change only applies to those appointments that require more time and detail.
