This machine is a great machine especially for beginners as it is simple and easy to use with only 3 knobs to deal with. 

There is plastic housing on the outside but on the inside it is all metal. There is 13 stitch options and 4 stitch lengths. The zigzag width options goes up to 5. The backtack reverse button is a large easy to find semi circle lever. Similarly the foot lever is easy to see and reach as it is placed on the right hand side of the needle. There is a rubber buffer to lean your arm on when lifting and lowering the foot lever. The bobbin winder is placed at the top of the machine and has an easy to read instructional diagram next to the thread guide. 

Door to bobbin case is broken but is still there. The Bobbin case is also covered by the accessory box which stops the door from coming off. The accessory box sides off to create a free arm to allow for sleeves to slide on or for embroidery. The feet are easily removed and replaced by pushing the small lever behind the foot.
